@miguelcortereal I have the same WP 3.4.1, BP 1.6.1, BBP 2.1.2 setup and am not having a problem with bbpress activity showing up on the activity stream. Could it be a theme or plugin conflict?

I won’t be much help with the error.
2.x does. If you have bbPress installed go to /wp-admin/tools.php?page=bbp-converter.
The download link is for the 2.1 branch. If you follow the link it will take you to the plugin page where you can download 2.1.2. You can also install it directly through WordPress I find much easier.
@vvikeb – FTP upload it.
Gravatar.com. The bbPress forums pull them from there. I don’t believe you can change it directly from bbpress.org.
You can but integration isn’t great yet. The next versions of each should greatly improve that.
The support warning means the theme doesn’t natively support bbPress. You can add support or use shortcodes and still use bbPress. Here’s a link to shortcodes you can insert in a page. http://bbpress.org/forums/topic/bbpress-20-shortcodes
I don’t understand your question about plugins.
bbPress 2.x doesn’t use the my-templates folder. 2.x uses the same theme your WordPress installation uses.
BuddyPress 1.6 will use bbPress 2.x as the forum component instead of the version of bbPress it currently uses. I believe that will lead to the activity stream being fixed.
We never get release dates, but BuddyPress initially said version 1.6 would be out close to when WP 3.3 was released. That was later retracted, but I’d guess it will be out by the end of January.
I tried to find the thread that worked for me, but can’t find it and don’t remember what I did. I know I did not install bbPress via BuddyPress so I don’t suggest you do that.
If you can wait this should fix itself with BuddyPress 1.6 and bbPress 2.1.
There’s a “Zip Archive” link on the bottom of http://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/branches/plugin that will download the latest version. I hope you are aware 2.1 is a development version, not a released version of bbPress.
It was possible with BuddyPress and forums installed via BuddyPress, but I don’t know of a way using bbPress 2.x yet. 2.x is supposed to be the forum software used for BuddyPress 1.6 so it should be coming soon.
I just sent a phpBB3 DB. It was originally phpBB2 and migrated to official way.
bbPress 2.x will work with any WordPress theme, some better than others.
There’s not an easy way to do it yet because there isn’t a shortcode to display the latest topics. I’m sure there’s a way to code it, but I haven’t looked into how to do that.
Also, bbpress.org doesn’t uses bbpress 2.x yet.
Can you go into the database and remove the old WordPress account?
What version of bbPress are you using? If a version other than 2.x, is it integrated with WordPress?
It sounds like you have tried to install bbpress 2.0 using bbpress 1.0 instructions. bbPress 2.0 is a WordPress plugin and should be installed and activated accordingly. If you are going to FTP upload it, place it in /wp-content/plugins.
It won’t let me create a user without a letter in the username.
I’ll see if I have the same problem on my test installation.
Is the problem that you cannot get a users profile to show if the username is a number?
I don’t understand the question.
